About the Project

The purpose of this project was to design a product that addressed an unmet need within the context of a complex system of products.  Specifically we studied the habits of tailgaters, identified unmet needs, and designed a new grill to meet those needs.  This project was completed with Kira De Bruyn, Maddie Horvath, and Elizabeth Henderson. 

 
 

Initial Research

 

Insight

Through extensive research, we identified trends within the grilling industry, tailgating community, and technology community.  We explored the multiple intersections between these trends, and compiled this research alongside observations, interviews, and personal tailgating experiences.  Armed with this extensive compilation of data, we created a need map and chose an area for innovation - Adaptability.
